We've witnessed the WiiMote bring greater levels of human input to gaming in a huge scale (over 29.62 million Wii units sold at the time of writing, some years ago). The Wii also reduced the cost of this technology so more people could purchase it. The Nintendo DS (NDS) and Apple iPhone brought touchscreens to the mainstream, not to mention Samsungs technology of its own touchscreens.

So why not take game control to the next level? Prowzer is doing just that, mind control for PC games. Early 2008, was when we first saw this technology, and thought it would be amazing if brought in the real world. The idea was to interface this with a Windows program for remote controlling a NXT robot. Once successful, then, interfacing it with a humanoid robot.

There was a beautiful test in the technology and robotics world, where they bent a spoon by “pushing” with their mind at the spoon, sending input to the computer, then sending an articular message to pull on the spoon. Prowzer has been committed to control of Robots since the early 90’s and has done considerable work that have included Robots interacting with humans. Robotics interacting with human is an extremely large subject, where most humans are unaware of its existence or the interaction. Most large Companies, eg in manufacturing, milling, printing, production areas have robots that carry out set tasks that interact with humans to produce end results.
